Oh how I wish there was an easy answer to the question of how to have those “crucial conversations” with our ASD loved ones. I certainly know what doesn’t work.

For example, has any one of you been successful with one of these approaches?
1. Do you have a minute? I’d like to talk with you about a few things.
2. I need to share my feelings about something.
3. I know you’re busy, but I just need to clear the air about something.

Nope? Of course not. These approaches are designed to open up a conversation and to discuss your feelings — and theirs. That’s no place to start with an “Aspie.” They cringe when they hear these words.

So if you are to have those crucial conversations, you really need a far different approach. At this video conference, we will meet with a small group to learn not just what to say, but how to get into the mind of an “Aspie” so that they are willing to try a “crucial conversation.”

The instructions for the Zoom call will be emailed to participants, once you have paid for the call. This call is for Meetup members and members of ASPERGER SYNDROME & Relationships (as long as you are also a member of Meetup). The fee is $18.95.
