Have you gone with your Autistic loved one to a variety of health care providers in desperation to discover just what is wrong? Does s/he have dementia? Or a hearing loss? Or Generalized Anxiety Disorder? Or OCD? Or possibly even mild psychosis?

It is frustrating to know there is a problem but you can’t get to the bottom of it because no one understands. Can it be that the diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (formal or informal diagnosis) explains it all?

Yes, ASD can explain it all many times. However, there are some NeuroDiverse who have multiple problems that exacerbate their ASD. Either way, you want to know what you are dealing with and it’s tough when your loved one on the Spectrum is terrible at explaining their inner workings.

Let’s meet to discuss how to assess the situation when the diagnosis alone doesn’t help. In other words, let’s find practical ways to communicate and problem solve with your Autistic loved one.
