Dr. Marshack believes that knowledge is power, so this website is designed to educate. However, the information is by necessity of a general nature and not a substitute for an evaluation or treatment by a competent mental health professional. If you believe you are in need of psychological or medical interventions, please see a licensed mental health professional as soon as possible.
Because this site is for the use of all members, and members are minimally screened, Dr. Marshack makes no claim as to the veracity or integrity of the participants. Nor does she support or endorse any comments by members. This is a site for the support of those who wish to communicate with others who have like problems. It is not a substitute for medical or psychological intervention.
Refund & Cancellation Policy
Please note we will not offer refunds. Your dues and fees go to support the costs of running this group. We receive no outside financial support. The costs of managing the website, teleconferences, video conferences, admin time, and professional time are all donated by Dr. Marshack.
We also ask that you if you are unable to attend an event, that you give at least 48 hours’ notice. For example, the number of participants to the video conferences are limited so that you have the opportunity to talk with other participants in a more intimate setting. As a result, there are often other members who want to attend and are on a wait list. If you don’t show up or don’t cancel in enough time, it is difficult to make your spot available to others
Donations
We gladly accept donations. Thank you for considering our organization. We are not a non-profit organization, but we aim to use all proceeds to further our organization and to fund other nonprofits. Donations may be used to pay expenses. However, Dr. Kathy is dedicated to helping fund social services and research on topics relevant to this organization. Our goal is to donate at least 5% of monies received, after expenses. We hope you can help us reach this goal.
